I love the design of their currency. I wish ous looked like that!
ReplyDeleteThe first post was from Naimah Welch.
ReplyDeleteTheir money is different from ours because theirs had designs and ours doesn't. Also, they have pictures of i guess what is their temple or place or worship and we don't have that here.

I think their currency is very unique and I think the Arabic writings seem really fascinating :D
ReplyDeleteHi Ms. Jackson!
ReplyDeleteTheir money seems to be made of a different material. It also looks much more simple. The amount is written on the side with a white background. Their money also comes in different colors. They also seem to have a building in the background of all of them.
I wonder what the coins look like?
By the way, did you really use lol Ms. Jackson? LOL that was very funny. Trying to stay "hip" I guess?
Your "Dream" Student,
Xavier Pacheco :)
Hi Ms.Jackson
ReplyDeleteTheir money is different compared to ours. It is much bigger then ours too. Maybe its similar too because the people on their money could be leaders in some way, and on ours we have people who were presidents... !

I love to use the symbolism within a country's currency to teach culture in my AP Human Geography classes. I hope you're able to bring some currency samples home with you to let your students see it in person. It truly is beautful in design!
ReplyDeleteThis is too cool ! it kind of resembles our money because they have someone on their money like we do. maybe that person was a ruler or president as well. but i wonder whats that building? is that where their ruler live ?

When I saw these images I googled it and found out their money is called Moroccan Dirham and $1 of Moroccan Dirham is equal to 0.11838 U.S. Dollars.
